Dear friends and colleagues of ACESTA, January 2025
We had a good Acesta AGM with representation from across the movement and I hope you have received the minutes with the wonderful news of the new carrying group: Tatiana Arvellos from the Mount as the new membership secretary, Emma Leach the founder of Plot 22 overseeing communications and website, and Spencer Christy from Lauriston Farm as the new treasurer with support from Simon Blaxland-de Lange. Paulamaria will continue as chairman. Piet Blok and Edeline Lefèvre have retired.
The new Section for Inclusive social Development
Bernhard Menzinger from Camphill, Constantin Court from RMET and myself on behalf of ACESTA are at the moment the delegates in the Dornach Council. We, together with Adrian Locher as the Section College co-ordinator, met at the request of the Section leadership in Dornach to start a process together to find co-ordinators for the new section in Great Britian (Ireland will have its own). These co-ordinators would work with the other section co-ordinators, represent as delegates as well as join the research and working groups in Dornach.
The process resulted in Paulamaria Blaxland-de Lange being asked to be the new co-ordinator with active support from Bernhard Menzinger and Constantin Court. Members, friends and those working in our movement will be asked to ratify this proposal at the May Conference. If you cannot attend the conference, but would like to ratify these appointments, we would really appreciate that you write to Edeline Lefevre, our outgoing membership secretary, elefevre01@gmail.com who has agreed to gather your ratifications before the conference. Adrian Locher will then take on this dual process of ratification and ask for a show of hands from those present at the conference.
ACESTA INTERSECTIONAL CONFERENCE Our present task is to confirm the content and collaborators for the ACESTA intersectional conference in May. Please put the dates in your diaries; most sections will be represented; we hope it will be an interesting and interactive gathering. If you can come, please keep the 19th – 23rd May 2025 free in your diaries; we will confirm as soon as possible and send you the programme and application details.
NEW APPLICATION FORMS
Please find attached the new application forms for individual as well as places’ membership, for this coming year.
We hope to keep all existing members, both individual- as well as place- memberships and to add many new members and friends. If there are others in your places or you know of people who would be interested in joining us in this exciting time, do let us know.
If anyone is not in a position to make the suggested financial contribution, this should never be a reason for not joining. Retired colleagues or co-workers are most welcome and can be honorary members. We need your experience, warmth and histories and you will be able to keep in touch and receive our information.
If places or individuals would like to make a financial contribution to support our work, this would be very much appreciated. If members or friends wish to make a contribution particularly for the development of the new section work here in Great Britian, could you please make sure this is clearly indicated in your payment reference.
DORNACH CONTRIBUTIONS Nutley Hall has kindly offered to receive and forward the contributions for Dornach:
